Sean McPherson

Sean McPherson currently serves as the Vice President of Product Engineering at PosiGen, where he oversees product development and innovation for one of the fastest-growing residential solar companies in the country. He stepped into this role in February 2024 after serving as Senior Director, Head of Engineering, since September 2022. In his leadership position, Sean drives engineering excellence and product development, ensuring the company’s solar and energy efficiency solutions are optimized across all markets.

Before joining PosiGen, Sean was a Director at Sunrun, where he worked from October 2020 to April 2022, focusing on performance engineering. His background includes five years as Director of Performance Engineering at Vivint Solar, where he was responsible for the operations, maintenance, and performance optimization of the company’s solar assets. During his time there, Sean supported multiple departments, including project finance teams, and helped ensure assets were managed with a lifecycle view to maximize their effectiveness.

Sean holds a wealth of experience in the solar and renewable energy industries, with expertise in technical risk mitigation, engineering, and large-scale project management. His deep knowledge of the renewable sector, combined with his leadership in engineering and operations, makes him a key player in driving innovation and efficiency at PosiGen.
