Doug Tutt

Douglas Tutt has a successful track record in building shareholder value for companies, and brings a combination of global M&A experience, operational expertise, and technology innovation. He invigorates teams, builds rich cultures and excels in delivering performance. He most recently served as the CEO of Hcareers where he structured and secured financing for the acquisition and carve-out of Hcareers, the leading hospitality job board. Since acquisition and post the pandemic, he restructured the company, and successfully exited the business to a strategic buyer in Q4, 2024. His most recent board advisory role with Equal Level, a leader in the e-procurement public sector, also resulted in a highly successful exit to a strategic buyer in Q1, 2024.

During his 30 years career, he has held successive leadership roles in both the investing and operating capacity. During his tenure as Divisional President of CapRock Communications, he led a business transformation through the acquisition and carve out of a US$200 million European competitor to build a US$ 600MM global telecom platform with operations in over 40 countries and 1000 employees. In his role as COO, he drove expansion in Europe, S. America, Africa and Asia and achieved 25% EBITDA growth from US$ 55MM to 65MM. And, prior to the European carve out, CapRock achieved a successful exit to a public company for US$525 million and delivered a 4x return to investors. He was recognized as the Teleport Executive of the year in 2009.

His career began with General Electric where he spent nearly 10 years in various roles in both GE Plastics and GE Capital. In 1987 he moved to Buenos Aires to open the Latin American office for GE Capital’s private equity group and was responsible for leading the sourcing, underwriting and management of investment opportunities within the Mercosur countries. He deployed more than US$ 75MM in capital and achieved successful exits during his tenure. Following GE Capital, he served as a Director of Latintech Capital, a US$ 50MM Rio De Janeiro based venture fund, where he oversaw deal professionals and the investment approval process for early stage investments.

Mr. Tutt has a B.S. in Industrial Management and minor in Engineering from Purdue University and a MBA from the Columbia Business School in New York. He lived and worked in Argentina and Brazil for 12 years and speaks Spanish and Portuguese as second languages.
