PosiGen's 2024 Shine Bright Campaign

At PosiGen, our mission goes beyond saving our customers money. We also believe in transforming communities with solar. With that mission in mind, we focused our annual Shine Bright campaign on supporting children and families throughout some of our communities.

As a public benefit corporation and Certified B Corp, we believe in giving back to the community. This past holiday season, we committed time and resources to support children and families in our local communities.

Our teams have chosen various local non-profit organizations to support through a combination of community service and financial donations. Not only is this an opportunity to serve our greater communities, but it is an important opportunity for PosiGen team members to get together and be reminded of the greater impact that this team can make when working together.

Empowering Rhode Island's Future Through Education

PosiGen worked with Junior Achievement to directly support Asa Messer Elementary School in Providence, Rhode Island. Alongside other organizations, our team presented a $1,000 check to support future student field trips. Our group of nine volunteers also engaged with third and fourth graders, reading stories about community building and the importance of organizing efforts to support a clean energy future.

This event was managed by PosiGen Community Impact Manager, Lupita De Los Santos. Our initiative demonstrates our belief that empowering young minds through education is foundational to fostering a sustainable future.

Spreading Holiday Cheer with Solar Energy

Ahead of Thanksgiving, PosiGen delivered turkeys to our newest Rhode Island customers. This gesture allowed us to meet our customers in person, hear their experiences, and express our gratitude for their support of solar energy.

In early December, our Community Impact team, along with our Rhode Island and Massachusetts sales teams, collaborated with Crossroads Rhode Island to provide food baskets to a community support center. These actions reflect our commitment to spreading holiday cheer and supporting our communities.

Philadelphia’s Commitment to Families in Need

In Philadelphia, PosiGen hosted its third annual volunteer event at Gift of Life, Howie’s House. Leaders from the Community Impact and sales teams joined forces to cook and serve a hearty meal to families recovering from life-changing surgeries.

This event, managed by Sr. Community Impact Manager, Julian Burnett, underscores our dedication to supporting families in times of need, showcasing how community service and solar energy can go hand in hand.

Connecticut’s Innovative Adopt-A-School Program

PosiGen launched the new Adopt-A-School pilot with a $2,500 donation to Thirman L. Milner Middle School in Hartford, Connecticut. These funds will support student and teacher programming throughout the year. Spearheaded by Sr. Community Impact Manager, Dr. Susan Young, this initiative also aims to introduce students to solar career pathways through learning modules focused on solar energy and efficiency. This program highlights our innovative approach to integrating education and clean energy.
